Bedford is home to two hospitals. Bedford Regional Medical Center , a Clarian Health Partner, is located at 2900 West 16th Street. BRMC recently completed an $8.5 million dollar medical office building, which adjoins the main facility. Dunn Memorial Hospital located at 1600 23rd Street, is a not-for-profit, 137 bed facility, recognized for high quality, cost effective healthcare in the surrounding area. There are approximately 145 physicians, including podiatrists, dentists and chiropractors in Lawrence County. Combined, the hospitals offer a wide range of services designed to meet personal healthcare needs, to include a dialysis center, oncology treatment, sports medicine and MRI and CT scanning. Lawrence County is also home to four nursing homes and an assisted living facility.
