Half Moon Limestone Products, Inc invite you to stone carving classes beginning Thursday, June 24 and will be held every Thursday night for the next six weeks. They will be held at the BNL Arts Department, times available are 4-6 p.m. or 6:30-8:30 p.m. Cost is $125 for the full six weeks, or $25 per class.

The City of Bedford is hosting the 2010 Colts Personal Tour on June 30th, 2010 at the Bedford Jr. High Football Field/Parking Lot from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. The Personal Tour includes meet and greets with Colts players or alumni Colts players and cheerleaders. Fans can also participate in a Blood Drive, register your kids for the Colts Kids Club and Crib Club, register-to-win Colts pre-season tickets, test your abilities on a rock climbing wall, attempt to catch an NFL punt from a Jugs machine, pick-up free Colts giveaways, play on the Colts interactive inflatables and experience Colts In Motion, the teams traveling museum. The Lawrence County Museum reminds everyone there are only a few days left to see “Bustles, Basques and Bonnets”, an exhibit of historic clothing, before it is taken down on June 30. “Bedford Through the Ages”, an exhibit of photographs of Bedford sites throughout history, will be moved to the north end of the gallery after July 4 where it will continue to be on display for a while. A new exhibit from the Indiana Historical Society, “Indiana Cartoons and Cartoonists”, will be on display from July 12 to August 16.
The Lawrence County Museum would like to ask Chamber members to continue donating their used printer cartridges and cell phones, rather than throw them away. The museum recycles these items to raise funds for ongoing operations. They are committed to preserving Lawrence County history and charge no admission fees to their gallery, research library, or regular membership meetings and speaker programs.

The Outreach Services Department of the Bedford Public Library will be at the Farmer’s Market at Thornton Park on Thursday, July 8, from 1 to 3:30 with a book display, story reading, and a garden related craft project.
The 2010 Lawrence County 4-H Fair is July 10 - 18. Any business or individual wanting a booth in the air conditioned Expo building needs to send their application to Jerry Lambrecht, 5290 Leatherwood Rd Bedford, In 47421. Booths are reserved on a first come first served basis.
The Bedford Public Library welcomes folklorist Dr. Jan Rosenberg of Heritage Education Resources, Inc., of Bloomington, who presents Family and Community Heritage Preservation Workshop on Tuesday, July 13, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Library Program Room. During the 90 minute workshop, participants will be able to share memories, life-long documents that celebrate who we are, and talk about ways of recording and preserving the lives of special people and events in our midst. This workshop is provided at no charge and requires no registration.
The United Way of South Central Indiana has rescheduled the workshop "Taking Your Board From Good To Great" for July 15. June Miller of the Indiana Nonprofit Resource Network will be the presenter and the workshop will be open to all who work with or sit on a Board of Directors. It will take place at the First Christian Church in Bedford 11:15am-2:00pm. Save the date on your calendars, details on registration will be given closer to the date.
